Hanafuda (花札) are playing cards of Japanese origin that are designed with flowers. We designed Hanafuda as modern arts, and welcome tourists from abroad to Kyoto with the staircase LED illumination.

LED illuminations, “Graphical Illumination” has been installed in the great staircase that symbolizes the Kyoto Station Building as a new attraction of Kyoto. We suggested to install strip-shaped full-color LED (14,750 modules) in portion of the risers of the grand staircase (125 steps). 

京都駅ビル大階段のグラフィカルイルミネーションが、LEDモジュールを全面入れ替え、リニューアルした。輝度は明るく色あいもより鮮やかになり、京都の玄関口を華やかに彩る。およそ15000球のLEDの色の変化と明滅によって京の美、四季を表現したコンテンツは話題を呼び、多くの観光客が訪れる京都の新しい名所となっている。(写真はリニューアルに合わせて作られた「モダン花札」コンテンツ)
